“Higher Ground.”

Todays’ Broadway/Midtown community is inauthentic and cowardly. It’s in part why today’s theater patrons feel so emboldened to engage in such disgusting behaviors. I know the “old guard”  agrees. I’ve heard it said that I’ll never work on Broadway as an actor. I’m okay with that.

To answer the query, yes, I’m still attracted to men. However, now, I love Jesus more. So to not partake, even though difficult, is my decision.  Do not look to me for condemnation. I have not nor will I ever have any to offer.

God’s blessed me with encounters to trust Him alone. I’ve witnessed angels in prayer and on the altar. I’ve seen the risen Savior, Jesus, in dreams and ministering behind the pulpit. I’ve heard God “whistle”.

Jenifer Lewis said this to me on December 6th, 2023. “It’s sweet what you said about the book. (Referencing The Mother of Black Hollywood) I wrote that book for your generation. To let you know that there’s no fire too big you can’t walk through. Now you go get ‘em and make Auntie proud.”

M’am, I hope I did.
